FAQ

Your products seem to be a bit more expensive than other brands.  Why is that?

At Outlaws & Gents, we believe in doing things the right way. Every product we create is designed, formulated, filled, packaged, and shipped from right here in the United States. While some packaging components are currently sourced outside the US, we're actively working to bring those operations home too.

We're not a mass-production operation churning out hundreds of thousands of units. Instead, we focus on small-batch manufacturing that prioritizes quality over quantity. You won't find bargain-basement prices here—because you won't find bargain-basement ingredients or components in our products either.

When you choose Outlaws & Gents, you're investing in exceptional products crafted with care and supporting hared working Americans who contribute to their communities and pay their taxes just like you. It's quality you can trust, values you can stand behind, and craftsmanship that makes a difference.

I want to support small American based businesses.  Where are your products made?

As mentioned above, all of our products are created, designed, formulated, manufactured and filled by hard working Americans right here in the United States of America

We're actively working to source absolutely all of the components of our products (tins, bottles, all ingredients etc) from providers here in the USA so that we can become a 100% US Made product.

Sure, our products may cost a little more as a result but you will know that your hard earned dollars will be supporting hard working Americans JUST LIKE YOU!

Thank you for supporting the Outlaws & Gents brand and supporting the idea and great country that is America!

Where are you guys located and how long does it take for my products to arrive?

We’re based in San Antonio, TX, USA.  Shipping times vary greatly based upon what you order, where you are located and the level of shipping you choose.  In most cases we can get your order to you in 5 to 7 business days or less.

We're a small but rapidly growing business so we appreciate your understanding if it seems to take a bit longer than a multi-billion dollar company could to get your product out.

Are all of your products 100% natural?

Our Pomade and Hair Cream are NOT 100% all natural. Fragrance oils are also used in our Beard and Body Butters and while the scents are generally derived from 100% all natural sources, some do not consider the process by which the scents are created to render a 100% all natural fragrance.  Our Beard Oils and Beard Balms are made from a combination of natural and organic ingredients with essential oils used to scent the products. Again, while the essential oils are generally derived from 100% all natural sources, some do not consider the process by which the oils are obtained to be 100% all natural.

I am super sensitive, and I’m concerned I may have a reaction to your products.

As with anything new, if you have any sort of adverse reaction to any of our products, please discontinue use immediately.  If you're genuinely that concerned, our advice would be just don't do it.

Your products look awesome, do you have samples you can send me?

Unfortunately, we do not.  While we might add samples in the future, your best bet to try our products is to visit one of your local shops that carry Outlaws & Gents.  Don't have a local shop that carries O&G?  Tell them to get their act together and set up a Wholesale Account to carry our products.

Some of your products say they are “Lightly Scented” and I’ve noticed the “scent” seems to fade off as the day goes on. What’s up with that?

Simply put, Lightly Scented is 100% intentional.  Generally speaking, almost all our products are Lightly Scented and are NOT designed to be your cologne nor the dominant scent on your person.  Also, the scent doesn’t really fade as the day goes on, you just become accustomed to it.

I own a men's hair salon/barbershop. Can I carry Outlaws & Gents products in my salon/shop?

Absolutely! Just fill out our Wholesale Request form and send it over.  We are looking for salons and barbershops that can properly represent our brand.  If you are approved, you will be required to carry the entire suite of Outlaws & Gents grooming products.

Don't worry, we're not going to require you to buy hundreds of each SKU.  We're simply looking for proper representation and will work with you to build out an order that works for you.

Questions About Outlaws & Gents Grooming Co. Products.

Do your beard products help with hair growth?

While we don’t claim our products directly promote hair growth, we carefully select ingredients known to support healthy skin by addressing issues like dryness and clogged pores—factors that can hinder hair growth.

Are the Pomade and Hair Cream better on wet or dry hair?

Our Pomade and Hair Cream work best on damp hair for optimum results.

Do your beard products leave a wet feeling to your beard?

After applying our Beard Oil, your beard may feel slightly damp or moist to the touch, but rest assured, both the hair and the skin beneath will absorb the oil. Use sparingly to avoid a greasy or overly shiny appearance, as the oils are designed to naturally absorb into your beard and skin throughout the day for lasting hydration and styling.
Our Beard and Body Butters and Beard Balms, on the other hand, provide longer-lasting moisture, ideal for those seeking a more conditioned feel. While all our products nourish and benefit both hair and skin, they offer varying levels of hold, sheen, and hydration to suit your preferences.

How do the products feel?

Products such as Pomade and Hair Cream will feel a bit sticky at first, but once the product is properly integrated and styled, that stickiness will dissipate.  Our Beard Balms tend to have a very natural creaminess to them.  The Beard and Body Butters on the other hand are made with considerably more beeswax in them and may even feel granular straight out of the jar.  This is 100% normal and NOT a product defect.  Be sure to thoroughly and completely warm and melt the butter by vigorously rubbing the palms of your hands together until completely smooth before applying to your beard or skin.  Our Beard Oils are, well, oils, so they feel oily.  Use sparingly.  You're not going to a P-Diddy Freak-off after all. Or are you?

Do I need to reapply the Pomade/Hair Cream during the day?

Our Pomade/Hair Cream are crafted to provide all-day performance, though longevity may vary based on your activities. To refresh after heavy sweating or vigorous activity, lightly dampen your hands with water and run your finger through your hair to reactivate the product or reapply a small amount of product as needed.

For long days or for transitioning from work to evening events, feel free to apply a touch more product to maintain the hold and your preferred style.

My Beard and Body Butter is too firm, how can I make it easier to work with?

Our Beard and Body Butters and Beard Balms are intentionally crafted with a more firm, textured consistency in the jar, designed to avoid the greasy, oily feel or overly shiny look often associated with other beard products on the market.

This formulation is deliberate and ensures as natural of a matte finish as we can get while still nourishing your beard and skin. Temperature changes during shipping can influence the product’s firmness and consistency in the jar. There is a considerable about of beeswax in the Beard and Body Butter formulation and the product will most often feel granular or gritty straight out of the jar. Again, this is normal.

To achieve a softer, more workable texture, try placing the jar in a slightly warmer environment (direct sunlight) for a short time or rub the product vigorously between your palms to completely liquefy it before applying.

If either product becomes very cold and firm, you can use a hair dryer on low heat around the edges of the container for just a few seconds to restore a workable consistency.

We advise against prolonged heating of the product as it will fully melt to liquid form.
